Get to Know Our Open Spaces Scavenger Hunt
Saturday, September 22
Do you know Montgomery’s open spaces? Want to become better acquainted? Here’s a fun way to do that! Join Montgomery Friends of Open Space on Saturday, September 22 for a free “Get to Know Our Open Spaces” scavenger hunt. Find the park treasures, take a picture! Back at the market, present the pictures, collect your prize!
Gather at MFOS’s Farmer’s Market by the shed (Village Shopping Ctr, 1340 Rte 206) at 9:30. Bring a camera and a desire to connect with open spaces. Details will be provided. Invigorate your hunt with delicious coffee and fresh-baked croissant from the Farmers’ Market.
Guided Birding Walk

With the arrival of cooler temperatures, we seek out our airborne neighbors. What preparations have they made for the winter ahead?
Rocky Hill resident Brad Merritt is a bird lover who has led field trips for the Washington Crossing Audubon Society for many years. He is enthusiastic about sharing his experience and knowledge.
Meet in the parking lot across the street from Hollinshead Spring Rd (Stonebridge at Montgomery’s driveway) about half a mile from Route 206 on Montgomery Road on the right. Trail may be uneven and muddy. Bring binoculars and wear appropriate footwear. For significant inclement weather, check www.MontgomeryFriends.org.
Family Fall Festival
Saturday, October 20, 2018 3 pm – 5:30 pm
Where: Montgomery Park
Come make corn husk dolls and scarecrows at Montgomery Park. You bring old shirts, hats and pants, we provide the hay and other decorations. Who can make the scariest, silliest, most outrageous scarecrow? Discover the old tradition of corn husk doll making. Enjoy the cooler fall temperatures and being outdoors. Great fun for families with young children.
