In order to be considered for a camp counselor position, you must:
Be mature, outgoing, energetic, and responsible.
Be able to attend our mandatory camp orientation on June 15th, 2019.
Be available for the entire duration of our camp (June 26-August 9, 2019). We do not allow vacation time. Mandatory sports camps or college orientations are excused. However, documentation is required and we must know dates prior to the start of camp.
Provide working papers from your high school if you are under the age of 18. Please visit the Guidance Department for more information.
You will be contacted in late April for an interview if counselors are needed.
**CANCELLED**Third Annual Trunk or Treat
Due to the impending Nor’easter and rain/showers predicted all weekend, we are cancelling our Trunk or Treat event. Unfortunately, we cannot move the event indoors.
Thank you to everyone who signed up to decorate your car and hand out candy to the children. We will keep your information on file and contact you next year in hopes you will want to participate again.

3rd Annual Trunk or Treat!
Please join us on Saturday, Oct 27th from 5 – 7pm in the Montgomery High School front parking lot. Children will go trunk to trunk for treats. Crafts, games, DJ and prize awarded to the best “trunk”! We are in need of residents to take part in by decorating their vehicle for the Trunk-or-Treat. Please email if you would like to participate : recreation@twp.montgomery.nj.us Last year we had an amazing turnout and we are expecting the event to be even better this year! We look forward to seeing you!
Halloween Trick-or-Treating (10am – 4pm) at the Montgomery Municipal Building & Otto Kaufman Community Center on Wednesday, Oct 31. Children ages 7 and under are invited to wear their costume and visit each department.

Get to Know Our Open Spaces Scavenger Hunt
Saturday, September 22
Do you know Montgomery’s open spaces? Want to become better acquainted? Here’s a fun way to do that! Join Montgomery Friends of Open Space on Saturday, September 22 for a free “Get to Know Our Open Spaces” scavenger hunt. Find the park treasures, take a picture! Back at the market, present the pictures, collect your prize!
Gather at MFOS’s Farmer’s Market by the shed (Village Shopping Ctr, 1340 Rte 206) at 9:30. Bring a camera and a desire to connect with open spaces. Details will be provided. Invigorate your hunt with delicious coffee and fresh-baked croissant from the Farmers’ Market.

With the arrival of cooler temperatures, we seek out our airborne neighbors. What preparations have they made for the winter ahead?
Rocky Hill resident Brad Merritt is a bird lover who has led field trips for the Washington Crossing Audubon Society for many years. He is enthusiastic about sharing his experience and knowledge.
Meet in the parking lot across the street from Hollinshead Spring Rd (Stonebridge at Montgomery’s driveway) about half a mile from Route 206 on Montgomery Road on the right. Trail may be uneven and muddy. Bring binoculars and wear appropriate footwear. For significant inclement weather, check www.MontgomeryFriends.org.
Family Fall Festival
Saturday, October 20, 2018 3 pm – 5:30 pm
Where: Montgomery Park
Come make corn husk dolls and scarecrows at Montgomery Park. You bring old shirts, hats and pants, we provide the hay and other decorations. Who can make the scariest, silliest, most outrageous scarecrow? Discover the old tradition of corn husk doll making. Enjoy the cooler fall temperatures and being outdoors. Great fun for families with young children.
