“Hocus Pocus” Free Outdoor Movie Friday

Click Photo to EnlargeMontgomery Twp. Recreation has organized a free outdoor movie night for residents on Friday, Oct. 2nd. Space is limited and registration, which closes 9/30, is required due to covid-19 precautions.

The film Hocus Pocus will be shown at the park on Covert Drive behind the municipal building, near the dog park, on Friday, 10/2. The movie is free but we ask everyone to register so we have an accurate count in advance.

Log-in or set-up your free Recreation account. Select Montgomery Recreation programs. On the next screen select Special Events and Seminars, where you will find the Movie Night.

Registration will close at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Check-in starts at 6:00 pm Friday, Oct. 2nd and the movie will start around 7:00 pm. All participants must wear a mask to go to and from their viewing point. Bring a blanket or beach chair! Generously spaced areas will be marked out on the grass for each family group. Parking will be available in the parking lot of The Grove Shopping Center, corner of Belle Mead-Griggstown Rd. and Rt. 206. Pre-packaged popcorn will be provided by the Harlingen Church.

Submission Request for Senior Art Show

It’s almost time for the 2020 Somerset County Senior Art Show! Any artist age 60 or over and currently residing in Somerset County may submit one entry completed within the past three years (between 2017 – 2020). Please note that in order to ensure the safety of all entrants and staff, this year’s show will be held virtually only. All accepted artwork will be viewable online from September 21, 2020 through October 30, 2020 on the County website.

Applications for this year’s show must be completed online and are due September 9, 2020. The application can be accessed at http://www.co.somerset.nj.us/2020SeniorArt
