Montgomery Township municipal officials cut a ribbon to signify the reopening of a newly improved Woods Edge Park on October 27. Neighborhood residents gathered to hear Somerset County Freeholder Mark Caliguire, Montgomery Mayor Ed Trzaska, Recreation Committee Chairman Stephen Shueh, and Recreation Director Karen Zimmerman share remarks about how this and other park facilities have been improved across town recently.
Woods Edge Park is a pocket park located on Harvard Circle within the Woods Edge neighborhood adjacent to the Yorkshire Woods development in southern Montgomery Township. Among improvements made to the park this year were the resurfacing of two tennis courts; the resurfacing of the basketball court and a pickle ball court; the installation of two new playgrounds; a new shade structure; and the refurbishment of the restrooms. A bright new wooden park sign has sprung up with the same fresh green design now placed at all Montgomery parks. (PHOTOS OF EVENT & PARK FACILITIES at https://flic.kr/s/aHskqCinXC)
